No, you are definitely NOT too old. My father divorced my mother after 31 years of marriage and she went and got her LPN License. She was 50! Now....go get that education!

No, you are not too old to join whatever work force you want...do it now, or it will be too late. Follow your dreams while you can, for no matter who tells you what, there will come a time in life that no matter how qualified you are, you will not get a new job. You are in time now, so land the job and stick with it. Good luck and peace, Phil

Your not too old! Go for it.

Oh my gosh NO, you're never to old to fulfill your dreams. My mother went back to college in her 40's and fished her Masters at 51. I couldn't have been more proud of her. As long as you are living and have breath it's never to late. Go for it and don't allow anyone or anything to hold you back!

First 50 is not old. Look ad Colonel Sanders, who started Kentucky Fried Chicken. Don't' EVER listen to negativity. Keep away from negative people. You are never too old to go and do something you have wanted to do and I would just go ahead and do it. After all, it is on your heart, and always has been. Now, if your family is off our hands, don't let anything stop you. Just do it, and you will find that you have fulfilled a life long dream. And don't put it off. You will feel an amazing satisfaction when you have completed the course, and actually start working in this field. I always wanted to do Architecture, but life turned out differently. Now I paint, usually a lot of building scenes, and portraits. And I took it up as a therapeutic pass time after the shock of my husband's death at 45 years old. nd people hav even baught some of them, although I give most away as presents.

I think it's great you want to go back to school and that you know what you want to do. The medical field is ever expanding and has so many different areas, so you'll always have options. It's never to late to learn and nothing learned is every wasted. Go for it and Good Luck!

Actually, you are the right age for it, and since you want to do this, go for it. I've been in the Medical Field (X-ray Tech) and Workforce Development and I know both well. You're ripe for this. Go to a Vocational Education school and learn this. Get your Certificate and you'll do good, and you'll love the work! Good Luck to you!

Excellant choice. Most people at that age would like a change of life, as in careers. And most don't know where to start. At least you chose a very good field. You will never run out of work and the pay isn't that bad. Go for it.

No, you are never too old to go into a new career! I say go for it if you are sure this would make you happy!! I wish you the best of luck!!

I'm 52 and in college full time. I plan to go on for my masters after I graduate in a year. You are definitely not too old. P.S. I am almost always the highest scoring student in every class I take because I take it so seriously.
