What surfboard should i buy (SHORTBOARD?

I'm 6'1" and 170 lbs and i want to buy a shortboard surfboard. What are the best rated dimensions for me?

    I say give the fish a shot for a while. If you dont like it or its not working for you then buy a shortboard. I think a 6'4" or 6'2" would work out for you. A 6'4" would be a pretty standard shortboard size for someone your height. But it's better to go by weight+skill+wave type than height.

if you're going for super high performance surfing and you're experienced and know how to shortboard go for a board that's 6'1" and about 18.5-18.75 inches wide. if you're just starting out on a shortboard and wanna just give it a try and just starting to get into it, which is what it sounds like, go for something a bit bigger maybe something that's 6'2" and about 19 inches wide.
