is there a channel on dish tv tht i could watch surfing? or n e kind of surf sports for tht matter?

Several video podcasts are out there and you can check them out for free via iTunes or ZenCast. One of my favorites is http://www.podsurf.tv which consists of interviews and profiles of top notch surfers. If you want to watch competitions then head over to http://www.aspworldtour.com and check out the schedules. For each ASP and WQS events there are regular live webcasts. There are men's and women's events and you'll see some fantastic surfing.

ESPN very very very rarely shows surf stuff, fuel.tv has some surf stuff on it, but there is (UNFORTUNATELY) no DEDICATED surf channel.

Just check out youtube; there's tons of cool surfing videos on there. If you want to watch some surfers and bodyboarders get demolished by crazy waves, search for 'the wedge' or 'waimea shorebreak'.
