It sounds to me like you are buying a board based on its appearance, not its surfing characteristics. That's all wrong! There are several manufacturers of "popouts" who make wooden looking boards. But they are still popouts! There are also so great shapers who build high quality wood boards. The difference is astronomical. Re-think your intentions in buying that type of board. Then go to a good local surf shop. The folks who work in the industry can hook you up with almost anything you can imagine. Think :surf shop" not "on-line" and you will almost always get what is right for you.
