What is Pebble Beach like?

What time is best to surf near pebble beach? Where can I get lessons?

    definately not during the winter months, waves in monterey can get pretty big during the winter months and most likely be the best time to try, its also damn cold. But theres wavesd pretty much year round in that area, a good beginner beach like carmel beach which is pretty much all sand. Theres plenty of local shops in pg and monterey where you could rent a softop longboard and then your ready, or take lessons somewhere but cant help you on that.

Call On The Beach surfshop in Carmel (they're on the web) and get all the info re: rental gear and lessons from them. You'll be surfing Carmel, Pacific Grove, Asilomar or Monterey -- I don't know beginners and lessons go down in that area. There are waves year-round, fall and winter being best. Have fun.
