Can I go surfing around LA during Thanksgiving? will it be too cold?

It's always cold in the pacific. I live in Del Mar ( right outside of San Diego) and yes it's pretty cold but the weather is pretty consistent in California that you shouldn't be too cold. If you're not from here I would suggest a good full body wet suit and you should be warm enough for thanksgiving.

you certainly can! it doesn't get really cold in socal until january or february. and even then it's only cold because we're generally pretty spoiled. think i've surfed at least the last five thanksgivings in LA (and occasionally in northern california) and it's fine. usually wetsuit weather by then but it's been uncommonly warm here lately, so it may not be very cold at all. we were trunking it today in full sun and 75 degree weather. if it does get colder by t-day (water temps in the mid 60's) a 3/2 wetsuit will be just fine. surfing on thanksgiving is fun. turkey never tasted better than when it comes after a session.

Yes, you can go surfing. And, I live in the northeast, so "cold" is a relative condition. That's why they make wetsuits.

Yes to both. It will be jam packed on the streets though. Thanksgving in any big town is a mess in the streets.
