Is surfing harder or easier to learn than snowboarding?

snowboarding is alot easier to learn, taught myself how to snowboard in less than 2 hrs and wasnt bad after 3-4 but took a few weeks to teach myself how to surf to a similar level

i reckon snowboarding is much easier than surfing. I am a girl like you, and find that you have to think about way more things whilst surfing like position, timing etc or the wave will go to waste. Im not implying that snowboarding doesn't have much skill, I do both and think that surfing is definetley the hardest, you also have to battle against the elements more (in my opinion).

Well, Surfing requires you to do a push-up to hop to your feet and snow boarding doesn't. One thing good about snowboarding is that in surfing some days their are no waves meaning you can't surf in snowboarding the conditions are good more often.

Surfing is way easier than snowboarding, especially if you snowboard already, but it is difficult to master. Surfing is easy to learn, hard to get good at, snowboarding is hard to learn and easy to get good at.

i have never snowboarded, but surfing was easy to learn. i did like a 3 hour short board lesson in brazil and was just getting accustomed to Portuguese and i got up the first try... once you get up you get confidence. they say starting with a long board is a great idea but keep in mind, surfing is very tiring so don't overdo it the first time out. good luck hangin ten!
