How much do rock climbing shoes cost?

realistically, you can't get a good pair of rock shoes for 50 dollars. A good pair of shoes can be anywhere from 100 to 200 dollars. They can be pricey but the good news is they usually last at least a year depending on the type of climbing you're doing and the quality of the shoe. Some good brands to look for are La Sportiva, Five Ten, Evolv, and Scarpa. I will say that I've had friends who have had problems with a brand that rhymes with badrock... just something to look out for. When buying shoes some things to keep in mind are to always try them on to make sure you're getting the right fit, spend the money to make sure you're getting something quality, get lined shoes if they're leather, and you're shoes should feel small, but never painful. good luck
