    Just find the closest climbing gym to ur house and get membership. If you start going their often you'll definitively make friends with other climbers and gym staff... which means you'll have plenty of people to climb outdoors with.

Drop in on REI Flagship store there in Seattle. I believe they host lessons and would have a good idea of clubs and groups in the area. And if you go up to exit 38 past north bend, don't leave anything valuable in your car! but it is a great little area for practice with both lead and top-rope routes.

In winter here it is a little difficult to get out. Exit 38 is a great sport climbing area with plenty of variety of routes. As far as picking up buddies, I would try the Seattle Mountaineers. www.mountaineers.org/ I live on the Kitsap Penninsula and we have a climbing Yahoo group ("climbersgroup") so we can communicate climbs that way. You probably will do most of your climbing in the Cascades however. Frankly the Olympic Mountains over here are a bit chossy. November is a slow month for rock climbing due to conditions.
