How do mountaineers overcome the problem of a lack of oxygen when climbing very high mountains?

Bottled oxygen - similar to SCUBA Diving (although a different air mixture is used). Climbers also become acclimated before their ascent. Some climbers don't use oxygen. Ed Visters (sp?) summited Everest multiple times without oxygen.

you have to slow your pace and breath more. then at some point most folks will have to use oxygen as was noted. bottom line is the higher you go the more you feel the lack of oxygen.
