Who is the first Pakistani to climb Everest?

Who is really the first man to climb at the Mt.Everest? ?

  • There are still some question in my mind if truly, that the filipinos are really the first climbers to climb the Mt.Everest.

  • Answer:

Although Sir Edmund Hillary is generally credited as the first person to climb Everest , he maintained that he and Tensing Norgay, his Nepalese guide and partner, summited Mt Everest together. So there was no "one" first person. However, history books generally minimize Tenzing's role and in some cases exclude him all together, giving all the credit to Hillary.

Actually during the FLOOD, some guy in a boat stoped there to let his dog run around and while the water was up , the summit was only a couple of feet high!

George Mallory was the first recorded man to reach mt. Everest. But your right, that info i gave you is just on the books. Who is to say that someone did not do that before.

I'm unsure how the Filipinos could ever lay claim to this. Dale Abenojar is credited as being the first Filipino to climb to the Summit in June of 2006. He is recorded as being the 2,614th person to reach the summit. He would have been ten years old when Hillary and Tenzing reached the summit in 1953. I find more credibility in saying Mallory and Irvine made it to the top in 1924 than a Filipino climber..or an American for that matter. They were both English. Hillary was a Kiwi and Tenzing was Nepalese/Tibetan. So I'm not seeing where this claim has any basis at all. I highly doubt any "rouge" missions to Everest between 1924 and the 1952 a Swiss expedition, lead by Edouard Wyss-Dunant. If anyone was going to lay claim to a 1st ascent before Hillary and Tenzing it would have come from the Chinese or at least the Austrian, Heinrich Harrer.

Not to bash the filipinos, but it takes an incredible amount of ice climbing gear, bottled oxygen (in most cases), specialized high wind tents, specialized stoves, and tons of other gear to make it to the summit. The two first people to return from the summit were Tensing Norgay and Sir Edmund Hillary. When asked who reached it first, Hillary replied that they both reached the summit together. George Mallory and Andrew "Sandy" Irvine died during their last attempt in 1924. We may never know for sure if they reached the summit before they died, but from the information we have now, we cannot say for certain either way.

The first recorded people to climb Everest were Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay in 1953, although there could be many other people who could have climbed it who we don't know about.

Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary are the first people known to have reached the top.
