For once pace stick has a point about fires. However a great place to camp is in Glen Nevis (not very eastern mind). Drive or better still walk down the glen from Fort William. At the car park at the end is a path that takes you through a gorge (not too much of a problem with camping gear) into the upper glen. There is a waterfall (Steal waterfall as seen in Braveheart movie) and a big meadow ideal for camping. There is also a cable bridge over a big pool. It is not too high and should be ideal for jumping into the water. If you need the East, look on a map for hills, woods and streams. Where the three meet should be ideal for wild camping - as long as there's not buildings too near. Please be careful about the fires - you say you are but even digging leaves scars. Might be better on the stones on the edge of the stream. Have you ever tried a bothy? I look forward to answering your next question if you haven't!
