Walk-ins are sites that you have to carry all your camping stuff to. They are usually only a small distance from the parking area.

Walk in means just that, you walked into the park, you didnt park your car in their parking lot. Backpackers would be considered walk in`s. Their cheaper because they dont take up parking and dont carry a whole lot of gear. When you`re family camping you`re camping out of the car, probably with large tents and tarps and propane stoves etc.

It means you will have no hook ups of any kind.Water is in a central place for the sites. You will have rest rooms. So if you will be needing a fire pit or electric these sites are not for you.
