Where would be a good quiet place to go camping?

screw a camp site, go way off in the woods. then it really is quiet. if you know someone with a lot of land they might let you. seriously I think paying to spend a night in the woods or taking all that stuff to a camp site that provides recources is lazy and ridiculous. might as well set up a tent in a backyard

Los Banos. (pronounced banios) It's on the I-5. But it's hot there. You re not going to find much seclusion that close to the Bay area. You are surrounded by millions of people and everything is already booked for the year. Look East on the 50 or South on the 101 but everything's probably reserved already. Possibly North toward Hearst Castle. In California you have to plan a year ahead.
