Im looking to go wild camping or offzone camping, where should i go?

I'd recommend the upper peninsula of michigan, but that's quite a drive for you. We have the very best rustic camping and lack of civilization up there - and beautiful mountains, water falls, forest and of course, the Great Lakes. I love it up there. I live in Detroit and am looking forward to a camping trip I have planned up there in two weeks!
