It really is a matter of what kind of camping trip you are looking for. Are you going to go wilderness camping? If so some of the best back country camping exists in Colorado. Try Rocky Mountain National Park. The bigger parks also have more "civilized" facilities for camping if you are not into the back country treks. You can find great places in every part of Colorado. It shouldn't be too hard.
