What should i pack to go camping?

Invest in some rain gear. waterproof boots are important, not only for the rain, but if you want to do any hiking around a river or a stream or lake, you don't have to worry about getting your feet wet because you're wearing some crappy boots from the dollar tree. Make sure you have a water proof rain coat, and perhaps some pants. Take some extra trash bags so you can stuff some things in there really quick before it starts to rain. Big zip lock bags are even better. If you are going to try and build a fire after it rains, look under leaves and under trees for the driest wood. Once you get a fire started, lay some wood around it to make sure it dries out for you to use later. Put your tent on level ground and use a ground clothe to avoid getting the floor of your tent soaked. Take several flashlights and several matches/lighters/flint and steel. Remember, if it gets bad, you can always pack up and leave (just don't tell anybody haha). Wooh, man I can't think of anymore right off the top of my head, you might want to go on the trip with somebody who has been camping before just to pick up tips and tricks. Best of luck!

five things: a poncho, easy set up tent or tarp with biners and tent pegs, easy dry clothing made from most things except cotton, a good light, waterproof jacket, and a good ground cloth, even an emergency blanket can do this job. garbage bags caan be very helpful for this too since you make shelters and ponchos out of them.
