Where to go camping for a "lads" camping trip?

I'd definitely recommend Newquay. I stayed at a camp site that had huge tents for various numbers of people so you don't have to worry about taking loads of equipment with you. It's relatively cheap too and there is a shuttle bus that cost £1 (it might be more now) to take you into the city centre. There is also a bar at the camp site with pool tables etc if you want to stay there for a night.

I apologize but being an American, doesn't the UK have strict knife laws? How can you go camping without knives? You live in a Police State in which you are "Subjects" living under the yoke of Imperial Royalty Tyranny. I say throw off the shackles of slavery and dump your Queen. But I can advise you that if you want to whoop it up and make lots of drunken noise after 9pm, if I was a camping neighbor you would have me telling you-all to stop the offensive noise because most campers are trying to sleep. I'd agree with dj binks. Cornwall is the best place to camp. Best chance of good weather, nice village pubs. Just pass by anything that says "families"!
