What is bucket fishing?

What is your outdoor recreation ie fishing hunting camping "Bucket list"?

  • I'll be having a final shot at curing what ails me an if it don't work out I be putting together my "short" list folks who know theirs could share a few.

  • Answer:

What's ailin' 'ya Chris? Anyway, there's only one thing on my outdoor recreation bucket list... it's in regards to the fishing portion and is catching the new International Game Fish Association All Tackle World Record largemouth bass out of Lake Casitas in Ventura, CA. That's ALL that's on it.

Hunting I have two things: The Siberian Ibex, and the Cape Buffalo. As for outdoor recreartion, I fully intend to one day sail across the Atlantic ocean single-handed (OK, that's a bit off-topic for this forum, but hey, you asked). I also want to climb at least one 14K foot peak in my lifetime.

I would love to do a 4 to 6 week back country hunting trek in remote Alaska, more for the total experience and not just the hunt. Hunting and catching a shore lunch. Man! Good luck with this.

My best has been cycling/camping, already done the John'O;Groats to Lands End 3 times going down West, East and Central Britain. Lots of camp sites and people to meet and plenty of countryside to see. If you don't have much in your pocket you can enjoy yourself a good many weeks in one of the best countries in the world for senic countryside, try it before it all goes.

I dream of an intimate night with sixty-seven virgin mountain goats on the summit of Denali.

Sorry about your fight. I know several people who have beat it, my thoughts are with you. Any place to get back to nature would be good.

damn shame. i have a cousin and an uncle that have recently beat cancer so i know it can be done and they are both coming for our annual fly-fishing week in the British Columbia Rockies in July. my uncle flies in from Barbados and my cousin from Singapore. just don't give up i certainly wish you the best. my list would be a fish bigger than i am which would be either a Fraser River Sturgeon or a West Coast Halibut. a Buffalo in Northern Alberta and a Dall Sheep in Northern British Columbia would be included. for the camping i would love to take my sons ( they're 13 ) and camp in Northern BC the last two weeks of July and fish the Tributaries of the Stikine River like i did with my father at that age. it's not really where you camp but who you camp with that makes the trip but it sure does not hurt to have great fishing and untouched wilderness.

sad to hear man :( one thing you will have to do is stand butt naked in the snow under the northern lights also john o'groats to lands end camping trip, to stand at the top a volcano and look down at the lava bellow, kayak the caladonian cannal in scotland, kayak/canoe the humber and go out of it's mouth into the sea. to camp in my back garden with my friends sat round a fire eating marshmallows and drinking hot chocolate like when we were little kids (this last is very important make sure you dont miss it) good luck mate, hope you pull through :)
