  • Answer:

Luis did not read the question and missed out the word " professional " so I can't agree with his answer. Wiggysan often gives excellent answers and in his answer to your question I have to agree with every word. You want to be a "professional bike racer" but in what section of "bike racing" to you want to participate??? Like Motox, World Super Bikes, Speedway or MotoGP all have professional riders but you didn't include that in your question. Wiggysan has assumed in MotoGP because each year around 50 guys in India all want to be a "professional MotoGP racer",and ask how it can happen for them. Yes, you are too old already to become a professional racer, you are way too old because you have spent to long dreaming and right now you would have already left India several years ago and already have lived at least 3 years winning races where it counts and you will have already been noticed by teams looking for next years riders, They are looking mainly in Europe and riders winning in events like the Red Bull Rookies events in Spain, Those guys began racing before they were 12 years old when at that age you were out playing cricket and didn't know bike racing existed. So you think about being a professional bike racer at 18 and living in India still when you should have already have been several years in Europe and already racing and winning very major events and in fact already have been signed up to a contract with a racing team. At least 10 years ago you would have realized that India has NEVER even had a rider in any type of world championships in any form of motor cycle racing, I don't mean a world champion, I mean at least racing in championship events. That should tell you that the best racers that India has now or in the past are not good enough to race against the best in the world and 10 years ago you would have already prepared to leave India to get to where the action is and you would have been racing every week. Have you noticed the word "already" used in my answer? All I have given you is the facts for you to think about. I haven't even wrote about the money you would have already spent to already be a professional racer. Having money is needed to get to where you would be seen as a potential racer, and the truth is that in India you will never earn that sort of money that you would need. As a footnote your parents can't afford that sort of money either. The cost is a lot more than you can imagine. You can race in India, if you had the money and a racing bike but to be a professional ask yourself is anybody else in India making their income from racing, or use your computer and Google, I can't find even one, so like everyone else there you will have to do it because you love the sport. Your other option is to return to the TV and be happy to watch it. I have to be honest with you, I have only given you the facts and the truth.....

Just watched the MotoGP race I'm guessing. 1) You live in India, no chance. 2) you are 18. Too old. 3) If it has been your dream for many years, why have you waited. Give up dreaming mate, just go back to watching it on the tellybox.
