How would some one get started in motocross racin'?

Firstly find out where the local tracks are and go along on a race day and have a look. You don't say your age so it is impossible to suggest a bike for you, but speak to some of the committee at the track and ask a few questions about what section would be best for you and what bike. Try to buy a bike that is new or if you cannot afford that make sure you get one checked over by someone who knows what they are doing. Join one of the clubs and start attending practice days so as you see how you go against the other riders who will be in your section. Make sure you read up on all the rules of racing and specifically the club rules as each club seems to have different ideas on things. Make sure to purchase all the correct racing gear including boots, jersey, pants, chest armour, shin guards, elbow guards, googles, helmet and if you can afford it a leet brace. Start off slow and practice your basic riding skills and when you are ready you can try racing. Before racing and in some cases for practice days you will need a racing license. The club secretary will be able to give you the information you need to get one of these and depending upon where you are you may need to do some coaching before one will be issued. Things differ from place to place and where I am coaching is necessary.

First get the right bike.. Secondly race some friends.. Then you should go check out some local tracks see if any friends are into it and go ask them about it.. Then you should buy the motorcross gear if you are postive you wna get into that.. Good Luck!!
