  motocross can be costly even just as a hobby. Anyone can learn to ride and race but how good you get depends upon a lot of things. Natural talent is one. Whether you can bounce back from nasty stacks, the support you get from friends and family and ability to learn how to set a bike up to race. Set up cost is a bit as there are so many things you need other than the bike and gear. Pit tents, bike stands, fuel cans, spares are just to name a few things. Most tracks hold coaching which is a good idea and depending upon just where you are in the world you may need to do some coaching to be allowed to race and also get a licence. THe ideal bike for you would be the crf150r as it is a fast little race bike and a 4 stroke so would be easier to learn on. Steer clear of the 2 strokes as they are harder to learn on. Sponsors are usually only interested in riders who are winning and so can represent them well. So you need to start racing and winning before you worry about that.
