Which is the Best 450 ATV to buy?

First off, stay away from Honda, the technology is outdated and it's just not a great all around bike. It's towards the bottom of the list. Go to dirtwheelsmag.com and find a back issue where they did a 450 shootout. Of course the KTM came out on top, but it comes with a huge price tag. That was the MX KTM which runs around$9,000 bucks. The new SX KTM will be around $12,000 but will have amazing products. I ride an 06 YFZ and absolutely. The new YFZ450R will be out soon and will kick some serious butt. It has wider arms, along with the KTM SX and the Suzuki LTR, and will be around $8,000. It will also have an aluminum frame and EFI which will make an even more amazing bike. The Can-Am has great technology and some other great features. The Suzuki 450 is great and was the first sport quad to have fuel injection and come with wider arms. Suzuki is a great company. The Kawi is good but not great. Forgive if I missed any that are out there right now. If you have an unlimited budget go with the KTM SX if you'll want the wider arms or the MX if you want a narrower bike. Yamaha is the next best thing in my opinion. Even with the new YFZ450R I will keep my old YFZ and just widen out the arms. Don't give me wrong all of the 450's have plenty of power and are all GREAT bikes and will all get the job done. Whatever bike you choose though will need to fit your needs and where you'll be riding. For more info, check out magazines such as Dirtwheels which is the best in my opinion. Kawazuki? who is that guy? I'd definitely go with the yfz. I have one myself and could not be happier. Try to look for a nice 07 or 08 because they have the oil modd done to them so that they lubricate the piston better making it more reliable. Or look for one that has had it done
