How much experience do you need to start racing motocross?

    Sounds like you have a plan and a good one. You are not jumping in racing the first time you are on your bike but are practising. There are sections for beginners that you will be able to race in and with the practice you are getting you will be fine. Just try to do as many practice days that are actually on a track with other riders as you can. As there is a lot of difference when you have another bike on your back wheel and you need to feel comfortable about that. See if you can get a few of the other riders to do a practice start with you as that is an area that is hard to practice unless you have the other riders on the grid with you.

yeah defentley you just need to find a local schoolboy club and go along, people are starting all the time so there will probley be someone your speed to have some fun with

for sure dude... even if your not the best in the beginning... you will get better and if you keep at it you will get better... good luck!

To race in the beginner class where I live they don't check for experience. It could be your first day on a bike, and enter a race for the beginner class. I would say you would need to know the basics and have at least 10 hours of seat time before racing. Your goal sounds good. Basically, once your comfortable riding, you can race.
