Beginner Bike for Motocross?

For a new racer a 4 stroke will be easier to adapt to. Not to say a 2 stroke is out of the question, it will just be easier to go fast on a 4 stroke. If you are a mini class rider the CRF150R is a good choice, if you are over 15 or 16 and tall enough you may want to consider a 250F instead. It really doesn't matter which one, they are all great bikes. Your local motorcycle dealer should have information on local tracks if you need that and the track manager, etc. can fill you in on any track memberships, AMA memberships, etc. that may be required to race there.

It would be a lot helpful with your age, height, and weight. I'd say start with an 85cc or 100cc bike, since it sounds like you've never ridden before.

Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, Suzuki, and Yamaha are all good brands. Any of them are a good brand to start with. Your age & size has a lot to do with determining what size & model bike to get. Guessing your age & size, I say an 85cc MX bike is probably what you need. You need to learn how to ride before you can attempt motocross. It might be a couple years before you are ready to race.
