What's the best kind of dirt bike to get for someone who is just learning how to ride?

In my riding career as of now, I've stair stepped my bike sizes all the way up to a 250F which is what I ride now. From personal expierence I would definately recomend a Honda 150F or a 230F from either Honda or Yamaha (They Both offer one). If you wanna get a dual sport, the Yamaha XT 225 is bullet proof. It's just heavy. A fourstroke 125 is also a great bike to begin on. They're all pretty identical, so I would definately look for one in good shape and with a good price. Brand isn't all that important at the beginner level. :) You may be able to find an older (most are 2000 or newer) Yamaha TTR 225. These things are cheap, and bullet proof. definatly a honda because they are the most reliable and easy to ride. i would go with a crf150f its not too small and not too powerfull also it has learning room.

A honda 250r or Ktm 250sx

honda crf150f yamaha ttr125 kawasaki klx110 all of these are real easy to ride and all of the girls that ride with us use these bikes. and all of them are tanks and can handle as much crashing as you can provide
