Answer:
Motorcycle chains need to have some looseness. You should have between 1 inch and 2 inches of play from when you pull the chain up and down. If you make the chain too tight it will wear out the chain and the sprockets too fast. If your adjustments are going far back, then it is time to change the chain and both sprockets together. If you don't change all of them it will wear out the new chain really fast plus make lots of noise. Make sure you are lubricating the new chain and sprockets well. Every time you ride put a little lube on and then wipe off the excess dripping off. If you want the longest lasting chains and sprockets, buy all steel sprockets and the best chain money can buy. These usually last about 20,000 miles. If you buy aluminum sprockets and a cheap light chain, it can wear out in 5 thousand miles. Most important if you buy a cheap chain, it might break and then fling off and hit your engine cases and cause leaks, or worse it could fling onto your back wheel and get stuck causing the rear tire to lock up, this usually happens when you are going fast and might cause an accident. Always put the best sprocket and chain combo money can buy, you won't regret it. I personally like D.I.D daido chains. All the profession racers use them. They are the strongest chains money can buy. The stock sprockets are usually all metal, and good for longer wearing. The aluminum sprockets are pretty and shiny, but will not last as long.

I don't think I would buy a motorcycle chain from eBay and expect a good one -they will be made in Taiwan, china , and are made cheap- I know you get about what you pay for and one from a dealer you trust is the way to go.- at least its a real person to argue with if you have to. good luck

If you make sure it's very tight, that could be the problem. It needs to have about 2 fingers width of play at least. You also need to lube your chain every 2-3 rides. If this has not been done, better be safe and change both sprockets and chain. Make sure you get the 520 kit with all 3 made for your year and model bike. Most sport bikes come with 530 OEM. This will make your bike accelerate quicker as well. Use chain lube and adjust when needed. Your new chain should last 15K+ miles.

You may be just ,over-tightening your chain !!!... Check your specs !!
Bow-legged Snake
It may not be the chain, check to see if the nuts on the wheels are tight enough, they may have become loosened. Loose nuts sometimes cause chains to become loosened.

get an O-ring Chain they dont stretch as much but are a little more expensive i think there around $80

Some chain stretch is normal, that is why there is an adjustment to tension the chain. If it has persisted I'd replace it but if its newer I'd just tighten it up.
