    New case, ( it's skinnier but longer), new screen protectors because of bigger screens plus you should get camera protectors especially for a six year old boy....and BLACK, i have a blue one because it is smoother and softer but just because you don't want him to have a tantrum on christmas day get the black one...

I think your six year old would prefer a black, plus blue looks kinda...just...yeah whimpy. Anyway, the DSi comes with its own charger, but it is different. Also, yes, you will need a new case because the DSi is a couple of inches longer and 12% slimmer. Anyway, I don't think your six year old needs a DSi if he already has a DS lite because DSi is a lot more complicated and could confuse him. Well, your child, not mine. Anyway, I hope your son likes his present!
