    Not unless you push it really hard when you do it. My brothers use theirs a lot and have had them for a year or two and they haven't broken. Just dont slam it.

Nah, I've had my DS Lite for a long time and had no problem with the shoulder buttons. It's made to use, why not get the best out of it!
