Can you play ps2 games on pc without the disk?

80 gb hard disk drive,128 mb video card,core2 duo processor ,512 mb ram can i play or run ps2 games on my pc?

  • Answer:

well I wont lie that your specifications are LOW by normal computing standards. The only item that is even worthy of being mentioned up there is your processor. You need to seriously look into updating your video card and RAM to atleast a gig or 2. A new hard drive wouldnt hurt either. 80 gigs in today's world is SMALL. With that said, you are still missing the crucial part of being able to play ps2 games...THE EMULATOR. Simply tossing a ps2 game (or any platform...xbox, ps3, ect) into your computer will not allow you to play it. You need the software (and potentially hardware) to be able to read the data on the disk and relay that data to your monitor while using whatever interface (mouse/keyboard or a usb keypad) to play the game. Over all, given the price of ps2's, you would be better off just getting a New ps2 and playing your games there. the more advanced the gaming platform is, the more difficult it is to get the emulators/software/hardware to use on your computer.
