Ok yea, getting a new CPU would be a good start and if you have the money by all means go for an intel, quad core at least... if you have the money I would recommend an eight core though! i5 or i7 although I don;t really use intel so that is about as much as I know there... If you wanted the cheaper option go for an AMD, now some people have problems with an AMD and some MB's will only accept either AMD or Intel... Not both... But some MB's will accept both... So if you want to try an AMD (which I have never ever had problems with) I would recommend a FX 4100 BULLDOZER, its a quad core processor, easily over clocked and gives you 3.6 GHz standard... So that is where I would go if you ask me, of course if you have the money, maybe give the eight core version a try. Also your graphics card isn't that good either... A 520 is entry level gaming graphics, I used to have one myself! It only takes upgrading to a mid range like a GTX 650ti or 660 to see massive differences! Although you may need a new PSU if you get a new graphics card so definitely look into that and if you do get a new PSU I would recommend a 600 watt Corsair will do you fine... Prices may seem high but you generally get what you pay for... So here is a list of what I think you should get... Recommended: AMD FX-4100 Bulldozer. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650ti Corsair GS600 If you have a lot of money, (and I mean a lot) I would recommend: AMD FX-8350 Bulldozer Nvidia GeForce GTX 690 (EXTREMELY STUPIDLY EXPENSIVE but most powerful graphics card Nvidia do) Corsair HX 1000 Watt

I think your CPU is on an 1155 socket so if you plan on upgrading the cpu i would suggest an intel i5-2500k or the newer i5-3570k. Your graphics card could also use an upgrade to a gtx 560 ti or gtx 660 ti. This is what i would change on your current setup. You should provide some information about your motherboard so that we can provide you with more precise help/advise.

I would say everything you mentioned is an under-performer expect the ram. A new video card plus CPU plus power box, etc... Then you might as well buy a new PC if you want to play the best games out their like BF3, Saints row, etc
