Why is The Sims 3 (PC) So slow on my computer?

I HAVE NO IDEA it is doing the same thing to my computer i cant stand that it takes like a hr to make a family I got all excited for nothing so im going to put it on my conmputer that has all the extra memory space so that it may go faster for saving and stuff

It could be the processor, or it could be the CPU. Normally if you have AMD..that heats up more than Intel. It's easier to have a computer over heat because of cleaning issues sometimes. Depends on what your running though. The sims 3 is a little slow on my laptop too. But I know because my graphic card doesn't quite match the requirements. But that's all. Even if I lower the graphics it still doesn't seem to work. Personally, people are buying gaming computers or laptops just to play the sims 3. I personally will be doing this in the future. Also I now my computer now isn't going to last very long if I keep putting more stuff on it. Anyways..alot of people are having these issues. The game being to slow, crashes, gaming errors, etc. Some of them are actual small bugs that are listed on the sims 3 page. So you may want to check that out. Also, it also depends on your computer or laptop. Just because your pc may have the requirements doesn't mean it will play the game smoothly. It's like sorta reading between the lines, if you get what I'm saying. Like I said, it could be your CPU, also if the heating in your computer goes to high, that can be do to slow gaming and crashes. Not enough RAM neither, or of course your processor. It could also be your driver is out to date, you may want to check if you need to update it.

Sims 3 requires more GB than Sims 2. Or maybe your RAM is too low.
