What are some of the reason to use a game controller for a PC game?

There is no bad or good choices for using a game controller as opposed to a traditional mouse and keyboard. So the etiquette is out the window on this one, since if you are comfortable in using a game controller; then go with it. If you've mastered the controller, then who is to say that is a bad thing is it? With driving games, I use a Logitech G25, its a pain to set up some times, but I find it more intuitive than a keyboard and mouse due to the realism and the experiences you get out of it; throws your senses off balance if you also drive a car in real life... For flight simulation games, I use a Saitek X52 controller along with a Thrustmaster if I am finicky about realism. I use to have a first generation PS with vibration controllers and it was good at the time; but when mixed with a PC; I've found that it wasn't the same feeling. But the good side of using a game controller such as a console one; you are less likely to destroy your keyboard and mouse since you have to use that for other applications, especially study and work if need be. Note: About 15 years ago, I went through 1 keyboard a week and 1 mouse every second week due to my gaming issues and had to keep buying cheaper sets. As opposed to now I don't destroy my keyboards and/or mice due to the cost of replacing them.

I have a controller for my pc to play Skyrim, Street fighter, DC universe online. They definately work as good as a console. In fact, its probably better than a console because of programming options for certain controllers. Of course theres nothing stopping you from taking the controller out for games that are beter on keyboard. The option of switching is always a plus.
