    I say Sims 2 because it's got more content and lower requirements. I'm playing without a graphics card and while that's not particularly a good idea, it runs well. The 'more content' goes beyond EPs and SPs, there's also more custom content than you can even fit on your pc, so there's a wide selection of hairs, skins, clothing, mods... the game can be really exciting with that. There's also already tons of player-created challenges to keep the game exciting, and bodyshop - so if you make CC you can test it without corrupting your game.

Sims 3... less loading between moving lots and stuff... and it's just generally better...

both are pretty good (I own both). With Sims 3, there is more interaction and more options. I recommend Sims 3 mainly because it is newer, but both are just about equal.

SIMS 3 Expansion packs are coming out! Dude, eff that. Get something useful that you can gain skills from like an SLR Camera ( Look it up) or a bass guitar. Maybe get a drum set. ITS FUN!!!
