Whats is better for FPS games on PC keyboard/mouse or Gamepad?

Joysticks will never match the speed and accuracy of the mouse.

Gamepad because I like the triggers

Gamepad because of the shitty places some of the commands are on the keyboard And graham you cant use a gamepad for runescape so why do you care

Depends on whether the shooter has good gamepad support, and which method you are more used to. It also depends on the logistics of the game - how fast can people move, how fast can they aim, what kind of weapons are there. Is terrain realistic? Does it block shots well? Is damage realistic? Using a mouse is arguably a faster way to aim, and has been considered an advantage in a lot of pc shooters, but most pc shooters are geared toward aiming rather than movement in the first place. If you have used a gamepad for years, you may well be able to aim better with the right stick, too. And certainly a gamepad is better for another crucial skill: strafing. You can aim just as effectively by pointing your gun and then moving to the side, this has the advantage of making you harder to hit. Since people using keyboards aren't so agile at movement, they are easier to hit if you aim at them fast enough. If you're on a game with relatively flat surfaces, and fast paced, with so many weapons flying that you can't dodge anyhow, you'll get the best kdr by being the fastest gun in the west. Most people who depend on being a quick gun use mouse. But that doesn't mean you can't aim just as well with a thumbstick. PC gamers get all hyped up about the issue and I think the reason why is so many shooter titles have gone to console where people have learned to aim - accurately and fast - with the right stick. I guess this has created some bitterness, you can see they gave two thums to the first answer just for saying he used gamepads. Real-life aiming is easier than with either a gamepad or a mouse, especially at close range. In real life, you don't end up with the silliness of two opponents running in circles around each other 5 times because they either can't find each other in the field of view, or can't aim quite quick enough to hit a close-up, dodgy opponent. None of the crazy knife fights either, where both players madly swish their knives back and forth a hundred times, hoping for a hit. A game like Star Wars Battlefront with its dive moves and squad commands, having a gamepad will get you out of the way of many a grenade in the nick of time. If a game involves vehicles, especially planes, beware the guy with 2 sticks. The world's air forces use 2-stick control too, "hands -on throttle and stick," because it's deadly effective in 3d. Bottom line, use what's easiest and what fits the game.
