What is the best flight simulator game for pc?

Microsoft Flight Simulator X is very good, I am about to try X-Plane 10, it appears to be great too. Prepar3d V2 is basicly just FSX, but with better graphics and better FPS. After all it's up to you, i'd say FSX or X-Plane 10. Prepar3d is awesome, but still in development state.

Gorilla AREO-plane 7 is all real but with humor added for stress relief. Like gorillas flying around and bananas on landing strip and control panel looks like fruit stands. NASA uses it.

Try War Thunder, its a World War 2 Game with variable difficulty levels including a simulator level, you can start at an arcade level with minimal realism and as you progress increase the difficulty. Graphically it is very good even though the maps are small to accommodate the dog-fighting aspects of the game, there is also ground targets to attack and several positions within the larger aircraft from which to shoot from. It's up to you if you want to just fly around in a sim, or use guns and have a little fun trying to shoot down enemies. The game also utilizes mouse controls, but supports a joystick with fully customizable options if you so desire, there are clan systems in place too (called squadrons) so that yuou dont have to fly on your own if you don't want too. Google Earth is not even a flight simulator, although that is a feature in it. Microsoft Flight is a popular one. It is on Steam, and if free.

Why not flash games? Some flash flight simulators are cool. There are some on http://gamedd.com/ that seem to be pretty good.

Vitual pilot 3D, its a real simulator. Things are realistic. It is used by real pilots to train. If you want to learn to fly in a real aircraft, then go with Vitual pilot 3D. If you don't want the realistic and want to fly in a single day like a pro the go with FSX. Those are my top 2. Xplane 10 is my third. It is realistic but lacks many things, many people would choose FSX over Xplane 10. I would go with vitual pilot 3D anyday!
