Elder Scrolls Morrowind (older) and Oblivion are really complex and LOTS of fun. In my opinion though the best way to RPG is with MMORPGs Unless there is a specific reason against them, I 100% recommend them. It really opens up the gameplay to another level with things like PVP, adapting story lines, and guilds/clans/organizations. You can even try a VERY good one, for free =D It's called Anarchy Online. It's got a bit of a learning curve, but it's LOADS of fun. http://www.anarchy-online.com/

If your computer could handle it, try Last Remnant. Its a recent game so it demands alot out of your computer, even mine has some screen tearing issues and I got a ATI Radeon 4850!
