Where can I buy some reliable nunchucks?

Where can I buy wii compatible remotes/nunchucks etc which aren't official nintendo branded?

  • I think this makes them cheaper and I don't mind them not being branded nintendo - where can I get the remotes or I've even heard of the balance-board now being available...?

  • Answer:

Of course you can get a Non Nintendo Wii nunchuck. There are plenty of companies out there that make generic controllers for every system. Check out the link below as it shows all the Nintendo wii and non Nintendo wii controllers and nunchucks.

I fairly certain they only have 3rd party (meaning they don't come from Nintendo and aren't licsensed by them) Nunchucks and Classic Controllers. They have a wireless nunchuck called the Kama and there is also this classic controller that looks sort of like an altered 360 controller. But I have heard that Nintendo is suing so the Kama might not be available anymore. They aren't that much cheaper (I think the Kama is like $40). You're just better off buying the regular Wii-Motes and Nunchucks. As fot the balance board, I don't think so. They do have 3rd party battery packs and balance board gloves but that's about it. Hope this helps!

Nintendo has stated that they haven't released info about the Wiimotes, as they are all wireless and have patented remote signals. Chances are, no one else will be making a Wiimote in the system's lifetime. As for Nunchucks, there are a few available through Mad Cats and Nyko. One of the companies makes a wireless nunchuck, which is kinda cool, but expensive and batteries are a fool's game. The cheaper wired nunchucks are quite crappy, though. They have issues with their analog control, and it's probably because Nintendo won't release any specs on the Wiimotes... leaving the companies to make the Nunchuck on the fly with no prior plans. Really, though, you've already bought the cheapest system, with the cheapest games. At least get some good grade controllers for it, so you don't have to keep re-buying.

Nobody makes them yet. Besides, it's better to pay more money one time for a better product than to pay less money multiple times to keep replacing a faulty product. As a rule, third party accessories don't work very well.

you have to buy nintendo ones

There are no third-party Wiimotes. Only Nintendo makes them. As for Nunchucks, there is a wireless Nunchuck that was made by a third party company, but it costs more than a regular Nunchuck.

Try Amazon.co.uk Also, despite what others have said, you CAN buy Wiimotes that aren't produced by Nintendo - do a search at amazon.co.uk for 'Nintendo Remote' and you'll see a few made by 'Njoy'.

Stop being cheap. You can't buy a games console then complain that it costs you money.
