yes you can. if you call nintendo ( phone number is on the bottom of the wii console) and tell them your problem they can transfer the shop channel account from the broken wii to the new one. however you will need the serial number from the broken wii to give nintendo when you call them. this will not work if you have already downloaded games from the shop channel on the second console you bought, the newer one.

I thought when you set up the Wii, you set up an account with Nintendo.com to manage purchases, etc. Setting up the new Wii, you should be able to put in the same account. If you didn't, try contacting Nintendo, they should be able to authenticate you, see that you've not used the old account in a while since your old Wii broke, and get you hooked up.
