Hey there! Yes, all of your gamecube games can be played on the wii, way to go Nintendo! Nintendo has come out with some AWESOME games for the wii. I really suggest you get the following: The Legend of Zelda:Twilight Princess Super Mario Galaxy Mario Kart Wii Metroid Prime 3 Wii Play Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Super Smash Bros. Brawl Wii points can be bought in stores and can be redeemed online downloading games(either virtual console or wii ware) and internet channels. You can buy 2000 wii points for $20. Most internet channels are free, but some of them cost 500 wii points($5). The virtual console is where people download past games from different systems such as the nes, n64, and so on. Game titles that are for the nes go for 500 points, the snes games go for 800 points, and the n64 games go for 1000 points. There are other systems like the genesis, but their prices vary.The games on the wii ware can cost anywhere from 800 to 1200 wii points. These games are new releases only for the wii but are not like the full length games that are in stores. I like using the classic controller when playing the virtual console better than the gamecube controller. With these games, you have to use either of these controllers. You can use a gamecube controller or regular wii controller with the wii system. As for wiipoints you need wifi to use. A usb (for wifi) goes into your computer, if the system is in i believe a 30 ft range of the computer you'll have a connection. Wii points go toward buying games..like snes games-act raiser [good game by the way] etc. each game costs so many points - it ranges. You buy a wii point card at target; than you use the purchased cards by activating them with the game console [using wifi]. (20pt cards.) Don't prefer the game wii play. P.S. there gonna come out with an additional motion detector for the controllers (mentioned on e3) later on. Also check the main nintendo wii website out, they gave out free wrist straps (-stronger version) and contoller protectors; you'd have to order.
