How do you set up a WiFi connection on the WII?

Would a wired connection be better on the wii?

  • i have set up my wifi on my wii but when i am playing online it sometimes says connection lost while i am playing. would a wired connection fix this problem?

    If your Wii and your router are in different rooms then a wired connection would solve most of the lag and the disconnections. If your Wii and router are in the same room and have nothing in the way of the router and the Wii, then a wired connection would make no difference.

yeah, routers always have problems. u'll have a guaranteed connection unless ur modem or internet is down

yes i have used both on the wii.. the wired connection is a lot faster and more reliable

yes. You wont get disconnect that often unlike the wireless. It can be faster. So, i got wired and wireless. There the same speed, but you can try wired. I think its better and dont disconnect more often! -EC

Yes, a wired connection would fix that problem. OR you could get a better router. Also I've found if I leave my PS3 on and it's connected to the wireless, then my Wii wont connect. I have to turn the PS3 off then it finds the connection, but other than that, it works great. I dont ever lose in the middle of play. But I have a strong wireless router.

yes sometime the connection get lost other object may interfere liek cell phones microwaves etc.
