Haha, I had that problem too. On the wii console, there is a compartment near the slot where you insert the disc. Open up that compartment and you'll see a red button that you use to sync the wiimote. Then, take the battery cap off your wiimote and there is a matching red button. Press the red button on the wii console and then press and HOLD the red button on your wiimote until its synced. This should work fine. If not, then you probably need to replace your batteries. Image: http://media.tech-recipes.com/rx_images/wii/wii_controller_sync.jpg The guide and stuff says to press the red button on the wiimote first and then press the one on the console, but that method never worked for me. You should try it if mine doesn't work, though.

Try to re-sync your wiimote to your wii. pressing both red buttons at the same time.

There's a chnace you still need to sync your controller with the Console. Open up the main flap on the system, and the battery pack on teh controller. At the same time, press the 2 red buttons. You'll need to re-do this everytime you use your remote on any Wii system other than your own.

Open the front of it (have you recently changed batteries?) ---- there's a flap that opens and a reset button. Hold it down for a little bit and see if that works.

Sometimes the connections get dirty; try blowing in the connection on the controller. If it is cordless, the batteries maybe low.
