Answer:
If you are buying it for $40 then it is either a piece of junk or you are being ripped off. The wii and the 360 are expensive but it is worth it.

At this point in time, Wiis are in stock at most places. 6 months ago, you could hardly get them. But you should still get your son a Wii. The Wii has a lot more to offer. Plus you can play Gamecube games on the Wii. If you want to know more, you can go to www.nintendo.com and click on the Wii link at the top of the home page. You can also go to www.wii.com.

The Wii is so much better and it plays gamecube games and pretty much has a gamecube in it! It does so many things! I would say get the Wii, it's waaay better.

A Wii does something that other nintendo consoles have never done before. It will play old games (inparticular gamecube games). It is the only console they have that is backwards compatable. Also they plan on rerealeaseing all the old NES and SNES and N64 games for download onto the Wii. I would go get a Wii if you can get your hands on one. I'd head to your gamestop/ebgames and see if they will layaway one for you from their next shipment. They get shipments in every week-to-two-weeks.

Well that depends are you willing to by those? J/k Most kids dont care about technology. Especially if they are younger, they just want something they think is fun to play. Maybe he had a fun playing one with a friend and he is more comfortable with that. I wouldnt buy an X box either, because my friend has two of them amd both have been taken in to get fixed multiple times, because of the stupid chips that are in it. I myself would glady get the gamecube than the xbox. As for the wii is a great family game but takes alot of power. So if your trying to save on energy thats not a good one. It does help with exercise though. But all in all its up to you. But hey if it saves you money and your kid wants that one. Then get it.

I think a WII would be great for a 7 year old, especially if the older cousin is willing to trade games back and forth. It seems to be geared towards younger players, there are a lot more "kid friendly" games.

Wait for a Wii. He'll have fun playing games while doing excerise at the same time.
