    PSN (PlayStation Network) is free to access and free to use. Demos are free, game videos are free, some DLC is free. If you have broadband internet, then you can hook up to the PSN free of charge. You can not play PSP games on the PS3. You can play some PS3 games on the PSP through Remote Play (like Bejeweled 2 for example), and some games are for both the PSP and PS3, but you have to download them separately (both versions are bought toghether as a package deal), not play the PSP version on the PS3, and vice versa.

No you cannot play PSP games on the PS3 I wish you could it would be great. PSN is free all you need to pay for is your internet connection that's it.

No, you can't play PSP games on a PS3 console. Not only is the hardware incompatible, the disc format is totally different too (PSP uses UMD, whereas PS3 uses Blu-Ray). PSN IS free, or rather the cost is included in the price of the console and games. You don't have to pay a monthly subscription like you do with Microsoft's equivalent service.

idk PSN is free but you get charged from the internet provider (AT&T , comcast, etc) What I mean is you get charged for using the internet on your computer and PS3 ? Who ever gets that bill must pay the regular fee for home internet. So PSN is free.
