I need to change my ps3 account password but it's not emailing me the password change email?

I'm in the same boat only today I got my email almost 2 full days after I asked for one and when I used the email it said the reset password had timed out so I'm still waiting sony...

Oooooh my god! I'm about to shoot myself. It's so freaking annoying, I've got on for the past 3 days trying to change my password, I tried the whole "Forgot password" crap and never got the email for that AND I did the other thing, obviously. and I tried making a new account and you can't even do that because you need the "master account" which I can't get on because the password is invalid. omg it's a bunch of bs and it's pissin me off.

have you tried to create a new account until you get your email it worked for me just carnt play under my old user name

The same thing happened to me. I'm in eastern U.S. updated about 8 yesterday morning. then went to sign in. sent e-mail has been sent. Nothing. tried 2 hours later. same crap. then seven hours later said Error. and no e-mail yet been about 34 hours. Called sony. Not takin calls regarding PS3 now try back later. So Help. What is going on. I want my netflix. Dont care about playing online. I pay for netflix and have not been able to use it for over a month.

I'm having the same problem. I called Sony and they told me that it may take up to 14 days for the email to be sent to me. Really gay but I guess that could be the wait.

If your psn account was created on the ps3 you have, then you can change the password on that ps3 without doing it through email. If you are on a ps3 that the account wasnt made on then you have to change your password through email because of security reasons. :( the reason why people arent getting the emails are because of the overloading of the servers and the emails arent getting through. they had to shut it down for a while to let the emails to be sent, thats why people are getting " an error has occured" so if you are waiting for an email you just have to wait, i have been waiting 1 and a half days :(

the same thing happened to me. its been like 24 hours since i sent the email. the weird thing was that it never gave me an option to change my password on my consol it only said that the email was sent. i created my account on this consol so i dont see why it wouldnt give me the option. :S this is so bulll after like 25 days i'm still waiting while everyone else is playing.

same thing is happening to me it says my password is not valid and i need to change it i clicked ok and it says an email has been sent to my email but i havent got it and i tried it today and it says the same but insteadit says an error has occured if anyone know please help.
