What is so great about Xbox 360 Live?

I am buying an xbox 360 with xbox live. What d oI need to buy to be able to play xbox live???

yes if you have broaband,and you can connect to the internet, buy a modem and use the enternet wire and join it together, or if you have a wireless connection you can connect with a wireless network adaptor. this are websites which you need to go on xbox live. You need a broadband connection, the ethernet cable will connect direct to your router and is supplied with the 360. If you go wireless you'll need a adapter which is £60. Don't get your account for xbox live yet, instead set it up when you first connect and select silver membership, they'll ask you to confirm this (all on screen)then automatically upgrade your account for free to gold for one month, you can then top up any offers on top of the first free month. Set up via the machine and not pc to qualify for free upgrade

That's all you need m8. Don't bother getting a wireless headset coz there rubbish, and buy a prepaid xbox live subscription card, it works like a mobile phone top-up card and you wont have to give your credit details to Microsoft. get GRAW2 or Gears of War, there ace on-line. merry crimbo!

I'll bet all that lot costs more than a PS3 (which comes with most of those things by default, plus free internet play). £280 on Amazon now.
