How do I load powder detergent on a front end washing machine?

    Most of the new front loading washers require a special detergent, usually designated as he. I put powdered detergent in the loader once and the washing went fine. I'm not sure why we shouldn't put it on the clothes, but if the washing machine requires detergent to be poured into the loader I think we should follow this instruction for good results. That's how the machine works. :)
