I want to buy a xbox 360 but which is the best the elite, 60gb or 40gb, I don't know very much about them but I want to buy one that is not going to too expensive?

60gb(PRO) is the best deal not as expensive as elite. but you are going to need the storage space on your xbox...i know

I believe the only difference is the size of the Hard Drive so depends what you will put on it. 60GB should be more than enough.
