Should i buy a used xbox 360 or buy an arcade?

Used, for sure, if you ever want to play online you will need to buy a $100 harddrive, so dont even think about buying the arcade.

i would get a arcade, then try to get a used hard drive later if you can. The warrenty is VERY important since almost EVERY xbox i know of has broken. Even my elite =[ And you can play any game you put in an arcade, not just arcade games! ( post above me )

Hmm well starting in 2008 Microsoft started selling Xboxes with a new motherboard which prevents the red rings of death. Anything you hear otherwise is just irrational worrying. So that used xbox could have the faulty motherboard. In my opinion you should just spend the extra 40 dollars and get a new 360 arcade. I would not buy the warranty unless you care about convenience. It comes with a 1 year microsoft manufacturers warranty, and in a year you can buy an extension from them which is probably cheaper than Gamestop. If you do want the peace of mind and convenience of just picking up a new one at gamestop though, you should consider that route although it is more expensive.

Why would you want to buy an arcane?????..... They SUCK! Buy a used one, where you can actually play fun games on.

Well if you aren't going to play online, there is no need for a "regular" xbox 360. Just get a new arcade version with a memory card, b/c you WILL need it whether you play online or not. If your life changes towards online somewhere down the road, obviously you'll need to upgrade to a harddrive. All in all, get the Arcade version and enjoy.
