Any word on a price drop for the xbox 360?

celebrating the launch of madden nfl 08, the team at microsoft and microsoft canada have announced a binational price drop. the price drop will be affective since the eight of august 2007. in the united states, both elite and pro will feature for 50 dollars cheaper, whereas core would be 20 dollars less expensive. in canada, all consoles but elite would feature a price drop of a 100 dollars, whereas elite would drop from 550 to 500.

there was a rumor that it would drop 100.00 for the premium when the elite lauched, here we are and its still the same 399.99 for the premium and 479.99 for the elite, i just saw on the news a few mins ago that it would drop 50.00 for the premium but i didnt catch a date, i got mine last year day after thanksgiving and i paid 240.99 and got a free game, i found it online and had circuit city match it (it helped that i worked there and knew some management)

any new game system that comes out will lower it. since everyone will focus on the new one. And yearly the price will drop. $30.00 since the Wii came out.
